On the Edge

Srushti Rahigude

Movements of water can be seen all around us, sometimes flowing through the hills or through pipes and canals where it is monitored. Mapped here are few water edges in the Sinhagad road neighborhood, in the city of Pune, Maharashtra. It is seen that the water when combined with certain elements creates ripples in the surrounding. For instance, building a staircase on the canal makes it active for daily chores or a natural slope, cuts of the connection with the water from an overhead tank. Thus, here, water has been seen through the lens of its edges and the elements around it.
