SUBMERGED CULTURE

vishesh mahnot

Everybody has a sense of belongingness on earth from where they don’t want to be detached. When this piece of land is covered with water there will be a day when people will be floating among the sky and water. Building on this imaginary and a microbiological method where pure cultures of aerobic bacteria are grown by incubating microorganisms in a liquid medium subject to continuous agitation, Submerged Culture is a speculative project that empowers people likely to be displaced by submergence to continue living where they belong. The project couples submergence and settlement in a way to live with water rather than hopelessly fight against it.
